After well-appreciated detours into new looks, deconstructed designs, and fresh colorways, the genesis of MJ’s footwear is finally returning in its OG black and white form. After waiting for six years, Jordan Brand gives the AJ1 an ’85 overhaul with a higher collar, wider toebox, and premium hangtag. While the colorway has been skyrocketing by way of the Nike Dunk “Panda,” the blueprint has been and always will be the original Air Jordan 1 “Black & White.” Made with soft leather and featuring Nike AIR cushioning encapsulated in the midsole, the slightly higher version is a direct nod to Michael Jordan’s original pairs released in 1984/1985.
