Sneakersnstuff and Nike hit the streets of New York City together with photographer Koki Sato and stylist Michael Baquerizo for an exclusive photo shoot to highlight the first ever retro of the Nike Air Max Deluxe. Built on the same full-length Air Max unit that was once developed for the Air Max 97.

The sneaker is composed with a seamless approach with one of the most visually stunning uppers referencing the Nike Presto line, and a TPU exoskeleton that provides stability to an otherwise fully mesh and neoprene sock-like constructed silhouette covered with tiny unique 3M hits, the Nike Air Max Deluxe was years ahead of its time. Born in 1999 just around the Millennium, often underrated and flying under the radar, the vintage out-of-space appeal of the Air Max Deluxe could be seen as the ´90s equivalent of a futuristic shoe that has been portrayed in a sci-fi movie of the ´70s and birthing all seamless Nike silhouettes to come. With the return of the Nike Air Max Deluxe OG the underdog-days are finally over.
