The New Balance RC42 is the latest addition to the Boston brand’s prestige RC series, drawing inspiration from the RC30 and low-profile runners from the '70s to create a class yet stylish aesthetic. To highlight the release of the New Balance RC42, we linked up with two Swedish talents, Kim Öhman and Nelly Skog, who are a perfect example of modern originality, as they both continue to bring their unique vision to their respective fields.

Hailing from Gothenburg, Swedish DJ Kim Öhman runs an event series titled “Gimme Signal,” which features today’s most sought-after DJs and a wide mix of soundscapes, resulting in a unique space for dance euphoria, freedom and expression. Originally taking place only in Sweden, the “Gimme Signal” event series is now expanding worldwide, with an upcoming show in London on the 18th of May, at MOKO in Tottenham.

Nelly Skog on the other hand, who was born and raised in Stockholm, has gathered a huge reputation in the fashion industry with the creation of IMASKPI, a genderless fashion brand with hand-sewn and knitted garments. Fuelled by the creativity and originality in Stockholm, Nelly Skog constantly challenges the norms of aesthetics, gender and the traditions of handcrafted garments through IMASKPI.

Similarly to the New Balance RC42, Kim Öhman and Nelly Skog continue to push the boundaries of the foundations laid before them, creating a new path for fellow visionaries to follow or be inspired by in the future.
