30 Year Anniversary

As of late, the choice for retro footwear has been skyrocketing, and when it comes to retro sportswear, the adidas EQT series has its foot on the mark. The iconic line of early ‘90s runners, (almost) always with the signature white and green colorway blueprint, has been a go-to choice for connoisseurs of lightweight trainers. As the minimalist sneaker answer to an overload of techy things in the ‘80s, the adidas Equipment (EQT) team of Robert Strasser and Peter Moore took a step back with the new three stripes line to focus on what’s necessary: “We called it Equipment because the word equipment is sort of a no-bullshit word. You don’t have a piece of Equipment to have fun with, you have a piece of Equipment to do something with.”

Today, the EQT team returns a few bangers to celebrate 30 years of Equipment with a true legend, the Equipment Support 93 followed by a never-seen-before prototype from 1993 and the adidas Consortium EQT Race Walk, a retro gem made for race walking. Fusing elements of the EQT Cushion, Guidance, and Support the adidas Consortium Equipment CSG 91 concludes the anniversary release in a signature purpose-driven design.
