Carla Prata "21:42|Energy" BTS

Last month, we were invited down to the video shoot for R&B sensation Carla Prata's latest releases, 21:42 & Energy. With many music videos that she's made in the past, this is the one that she's most connected to and involved with emotionally, from the concept to execution. And working with some inspiring filmmakers, the visuals really help to portray the story behind the two songs and combine them into one final video.

The visual story explores the relationship between Carla and her love interest, who personifies both the lust and turmoil of an unhealthy relationship, as well as the temptation & materialistic nature of the industry and the fame & fortune that follows. Chasing both of these things results in Carla's bloody demise at the hands of this figure, depicting the beauty in the tragedy of Carla's situation.
