SNS presents: Scully

Further blurring the lines between fashion and sport, Arsenal FC have teamed up with two of their current partners for this latest collection. With adidas and LA-based streetwear brand 424 being no stranger to working together, having collaborated previously, this 3-way collaboration was always bound to happen.

We caught up with content creator & radio presenter Scully, to talk about his love for Arsenal, his favourite Arsenal lyric, and his thoughts on the current link between sport & fashion.

Hi Scully, tell us a bit about yourself and what you do?

I'm a content creator and curator. I make radio and video content, and I also write and present.

Where did your love for Arsenal start, and who was your favourite player?

Henry was probably the reason I fell in love with Arsenal, but Viera for me was the guy. He signified a powerful, intelligent midfielder, but the intelligence was a big thing! He knew how to make the midfield tick but was a scholar of the game too.

How do you think sport has influenced the creative/fashion industry?

Right now we're seeing a lot of jerseys on display, tracksuits etc, and that's because it's cool right now to look "sporty".

I think a lot of that comes from the fact that athletes are so influential, even outside of their sports. They can be fashion icons off the pitch and attract fans beyond the sport.

And last but not least, seeing as you're in the music industry, what's your favourite lyric which references Arsenal or any of their players past & present?

There's a few! For me it's gotta be in Headie One's Golden Boot when he says "old school like Bergkamp and Henry". Special mentions to Don Strapzy also!
